How it works

    Workers.bg > How it works
Dear Employers,

We (Workers EOOD, UIC 204899365) provide workers from Asia.
We are directly connected with agencies located in various Asian countries.
If you, as an Employer, are in need of and looking to hire workers, we will fully assist you at every stage of the hiring procedure.
If you are hiring more than 10 workers, you will not owe us any recruitment fee.

⸻

GENERAL INFORMATION
1.Workers from third countries (outside the EU and EEA) can be employed as Seasonal Workers if your company operates in the sectors of Hospitality and Restaurant Services or Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. If your company operates in other sectors such as Construction, Manufacturing, Trade, etc., you can still hire foreign workers for up to 3 years under a different procedure;
2.The most simplified procedure is for employment of up to 90 days, which can be extended up to 9 months while the worker is employed with you in Bulgaria;
3.Information about your company is collected automatically by the authorities. You must not have any outstanding tax obligations or debts to the General Labour Inspectorate;
4.The hiring process is not short, but it is legally regulated. The overall duration for processing a foreign worker’s documents is approximately 2 months in Bulgaria and 2 months in the foreign country;
5.If the employment relationship with the foreign national is terminated early (e.g. the worker does not show up), you must notify in writing the Employment Agency and the Migration Directorate of the Ministry of Interior within 3 days of the termination. You will not be held liable by the institutions, other than the obligation to notify them.

⸻

EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS
1.You must cover the travel costs of the worker to and from your company. This must be included in the employment contract;
2.You must provide accommodation for the worker for the entire duration of the employment contract. It is not required that the accommodation be free of charge. Workers must be housed in rooms with no more than three persons per room, with access to a private bathroom;
3.The working conditions and remuneration must not be less favorable than those of Bulgarian nationals performing the same type of work.
Note that as of early 2026, the minimum monthly salary is expected to increase to EUR 620.20.

⸻

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS WHEN HIRING NON-SEASONAL WORKERS
1.If you are hiring non-seasonal workers and you own a small or medium-sized enterprise (defined as having fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million and/or total assets not exceeding EUR 43 million), you may hire up to 35% of your staff as third-country nationals.
If you own a large enterprise, third-country nationals must not exceed 20% of your average staff;
2.We must provide a justification that no suitable Bulgarian workers are available for the given positions. This must be supported by copies of job advertisements in local and national media and websites, published and kept active for at least 14 days.

⸻

PROCESS AND STEPS
1.We introduce you to your obligations and legal requirements as an Employer wishing to hire foreign nationals;
2.We present you with our terms. Upon mutual agreement, we sign a contract outlining our mutual rights, obligations, and responsibilities;
3.You authorize us to represent you before the relevant institutions;
4.You provide us with information about your company and your labor needs;
5.We present you with candidates along with full documentation that meets your requirements and the legal framework;
6.You select the workers. With our assistance, you prepare bilingual employment contracts and job descriptions – we provide templates;
7.We prepare all other necessary application documents – all we need from you is information and company documents;
8.We submit the documents on your behalf to the respective institutions;
9.We prepare the necessary paperwork and assist the workers in obtaining visas and traveling to Bulgaria and your company location;
10.We assist both you and the workers in signing the employment contracts and presenting them to the institutions after arrival;
11.If you face any issues with a worker (e.g. poor discipline, absenteeism), we help resolve them and, if necessary, communicate with the institutions;
12.We jointly prepare and submit the documents for termination of employment contracts when applicable.

⸻

REQUIRED INFORMATION
1.Company details;
2.Job positions and number of workers for each;
3.Employment period – from date to date;
4.Your specific requirements for the workers – e.g. education, qualification, license, professional experience, gender, age, language skills, etc.;
If you operate seasonally, please provide relevant certificates, permits, or other documents proving your business activity;
5.Offered salary;
6.Other relevant conditions – location of workplace, accommodation, meals, transportation, etc.
