The Bulgarian labor market is facing a serious shortage of workers – over 300,000 workers are missing in sectors such as construction, healthcare, tourism and agriculture. Employers’ organizations are sounding the alarm that the need for foreign labor is growing. According to them, over 250,000 people of working age are inactive in the labor market and need to be motivated to join through targeted programs and policies.
